Weekly recommendations part 2

Video games:
Dark Souls

I doubt that I need to introduce or explain the game to readers with the game's reputation in mind, so I will go ahead and state that I am enjoying this game. The lore and story is interesting, the gameplay is hard but fair, and above all else, the cathartic value of the game is immense. It helps that I am doing well with the game so far so I may be a little biased at this point.

Devil May Cry 4: SE

Firstly, I know this is not the cover for the Special Edition; this is for the original version. This one is a little harder for me to recommend since the game is essentially a re-release of DMC4 except with new characters (which to the developer's credit, actually play differently) and modes available. I would recommend it to fresh players (who may be intimidated by DMC3) or people with no access to DMC4 and want to replay it but otherwise, I would not recommend it.

Anime:
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid

Yes, I am aware that the picture is that of a manga cover. As for the show, what little I have seen has been entertaining. While it does follow the trend of most anime these days, the humor reminds me of the kind of humour I have seen from classic KyoAni like Nichijou or the less moe-blob parts of K-On! So far, it is entertaining though nothing I would write home about.
